I'm writing this to solicit help from my DA peeps. I just entered a submission into the Chuck Jones Character contest:




This piece is very special to me, as I consider Chuck Jones to be one of my greatest inspirations in my work (although recent work may not exactly bear that out). Some of my fondest memories of childhood are sitting in front of the tv with a big bowl of cereal watching Bugs Bunny. And every year, we still break out How The Grinch Stole Christmas at least a couple times (plus watch it whenever it's on tv).

I follow Craig Kausen on Twitter, who is Chuck's grandson. He posted about this contest a couple weeks ago and I immediately knew I had to enter. So far there are a little over 300 entries, and according to Craig and everything I've seen, nobody had submitted 100% original artwork for it. So I'm hopeful I have a good chance at this thing.
