His expression cracks me up (Sorry, Angelique!). I love that enlarged eye of disdain or inquiry. What a funny, funny portrait. Laughing, in a good way, at how his upper body is so much bigger than his lower half. The curled thumb on the cane is a scream--reminds me of those Mad Magazine cartoons by Don Martin. The brown tone of this adds a little mystery as do the shadows. Well done on the clothing and hair detailing; nice folds in the cloak. Simply a terrific piece. That face...ha, ha, ha.
